The story of Joan of Arc is one of incredible faith. Even under incredible torture she could not denounce her God and her beliefs. She served her king and led her people in wars to protect France. She was convicted a heretic at nineteen and burned at the stake. The court document of her trial is one of the most expansive accounts of a personality. It chronicles her entire life from birth to death. One of Joan Of Arc’s biographers was none other than Mark Twain. Twain enjoyed the story so much it became his personal favorite. The likeness of Joan was taken from a painting by one of my favorite artists, Ingres.
