Napoleon is arguably the greatest strategist who ever lived. His genius, as general and later Emperor of France, is still a model to this day. A follower (in philosophy) of Alexander the Great, Napoleon led many successful campaigns adding to his myth as a great leader. In this portrait, I chose to focus on his love of France and his love of women. Napoleon had a very long and devoted reunion with the Empress Josephine; but fathered many children out of wedlock with other royalty and courtiers of post Revolutionary France. Greatly loved by the men who followed him, he was a hero and a man who brought about reform such as freedom of religion and other reforms to aid the lives of the people of his beloved France.
