Oscar Wilde was a dramatist, writer, poet, aesthete, and wit. One of he most famous treatments: “Loving oneself is the beginning of a life long romance.” Wilde at the close of the Victorian Age had London, Paris and the US eating out of his hands…until…he was caught with a young pupil and royal heir, Lord Alfred Douglas. After many trials Wilde was imprisoned for two years for “gross indecency” This portrait includes myself as loyal follower and disciple. The color green here represents vanity and the color pink represents the feminine side of all men. Wilde died poor in Paris, 1900.
