This portrait of Sylvia Plath is part of a group of entirely beaded portraits bringing together both Poets and Playwrights. This is the first beaded I did of Plath and has been replaced with a “non-tanned” one. Sylvia should have NEVER have been that dark. This group features the first portraits I have done that do not feature the names of my subjects. The beads are embroidered to the surface in threes. I have been using the same beading needle since 2001.
